Credit Cards in Galapagos

What credit cards are accepted in Galapagos Santa Cruz Island in the Puerto Ayora area restaurants and shops?

Your Answer

Major Credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted mainly on board Galapagos Cruise Ships.

In the town of Puerto Ayora it would be difficult to find a shop or a restaurant that will accept credit cards.

Cash is the rule in the different Islands of Galapagos. There's a bank with ATM for international withdrawals with credit cards on Santa Cruz Island.

I am including a packing checklist to the Galapagos Islands and some useful information.
