AeroGal Airlines

The airline company was founded in November 1985 with the aim of offering air transport to passengers and freight in mainland Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.

In late 2003, the company extended their routes to fly to Baltra Island in Galapagos and it became one of the first Ecuador airlines to operate that route with five weekly flights.

In July 24, 2006 AeroGal began its international operation with regular flights to the "El Dorado" in Bogota airport. And in August the company began with the path towards Medellin city.

In November 2008, they incorporated a Boeing 757 to cover the the route to Miami, inaugurated on 7 December of that year.

During 2009 this airline introduces a new Boeing 737 and now they have a fleet of 11 aircrafts.

Currently AeroGal offers 6 domestic destinations: Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Manta, Baltra Island (Galapagos) and San Cristobal Island (Galapagos).

Tame Ecuador Airlines

Tame is the only domestic airline in Ecuador that covers 10 destinations nationwide and offers connections between them.

Tame airlines of Ecuador, was founded way back in 1962. Its commercial growth was gradual and sustained.

It expanded its domestic routes and changed its aircraft to DC-3, DC-6, Electra, Avro, Boeing 727100, Boeing 727200, Airbus A320, and more recently to the Brazilian Embraer 170 and 190, which currently cover destinations within Ecuador and one abroad.

Around 3,000 passengers travel daily in this Ecuador airline on its national and international routes.

The incorporation of modern planes with a higher capacity increases the number of passengers and consolidates Tame's airline prestige in the commercial aviation market.

When flying with Tame you can visit the following main cities in Ecuador:

Quito, Guayaquil, Cuenca, Galapagos Islands (Santa Cruz and San Cristobal), Machala, Loja, Coca, Esmeraldas and Lago Agrio.

VIP Ecuador Airlines

VIP S.A. is a private airline that began its commercial flights in 2001 and two years later, was acquired by the Brazilian financial group Synergy Group.

This Ecuadorian airline currently has Dornier 328100-20 aircrafts with a capacity of 32 passengers.

This airline covers the routes between Quito, Lago Agrio and coca. (the last two cities in the Amazon Rain Forest of Ecuador) To VIP Website

Once you are inside Ecuador, the small size of the country usually means that selecting one of the three main Ecuador airlines is a good and cheap method of transport.
