The Galapagos Island flag was designed by Mr. Hugo Enrique Salazar Castro on 1961. He was a policeman serving in the Galapagos Islands during that period of time. He's still living on Santa Cruz Island.

The Galapagos Islands are located 600 miles west of the coast of Ecuador and offer some of the most spectacular wildlife found anywhere else in the world.

The marine life which inhabits the waters that surround the Galapagos Islands is just as fantastic as the wildlife found on shore, making Galapagos as one of the Premier Diving Destinations in the world. The sheer abundance of life is amazing.
