Galapagos Islands Attractions

I want to visit Galapagos because I've heard a lot about them.

But I would like to know what are some of the attractions of the Galapagos Islands?

Your Answer

One of the main attractions in Galapagos is its endemic (unique) wildlife. Animals in Galapagos are not afraid of humans and can be easily approached and photographed.

Another attraction is its spectacular marine life. You can observe groups of Humpback whales, tropical penguins, dolphins, Galapagos sharks and hundreds of other marine species.

Birdwatching is one of the most amazing experiences in these Islands. Most of the birds are endemic to Galapagos.

You can see blue and red footed boobies, nazca birds, flightless cormorants, endemic hawks, flamingos and many more.

You can also do snorkeling, sea kayaking, diving and surfing as well.

But I think that the main attraction would be the Galapagos Giant Tortoises, this is the land animal that gave the "official name" to these set of Islands.
